We believe our RAID data recovery & repair capabilities to be the finest in the country. We have recovered data from many RAID servers that other data recovery companies could not.
| RAID system may be fault-tolerant, but they are not fault proofing. Most RAID systems can tolerate the loss of single hard drive but when disasters like RAID controller faulty or RAID array configuration corrupted strike, data can be trapped in the separate disks for good.
One of the common RAID array problems we received are those with at least 2 hard disks failed in the RAID system. Often IT support engineers come to know about the data lost incident only after the RAID system is offline or degraded, and this is when RAID configuration is corrupted. | First Aid - What to do if you have a RAID Problem
|
- Do not attempt to repair or rebuild your RAID array. If done incorrectly or with the wrong stripe block size, this may corrupt your data permanently. Don't risk it!
- Do not run disk checking software on the Array. Scandisk and Chkdsk are programs that often run automatically if a problem with the file system is detected. Unfortunately, these programs are unable to deal with physical damage to hard disks.
- Shut Down your RAID System and leaves all of the hard drives power off. The sooner you do this, the better the chance your data can be recovered quickly.
- Carefully Remove each disk from your RAID array and number each drive in the order you remove them (e.g. top to bottom, Disk 0, Disk1, Disk2, Disk 3, Disk 4). Note: Only do this if you are absolutely confident and know what you are doing. Otherwise, leave it to our RAID system specialists to handle this.
